Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Logistics Coordinator to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing and managing the supply chain process, ensuring efficient and cost-effective transportation and delivery of goods. This role requires excellent problem-solving skills, strong data and communication abilities, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
This is a full-time position. General schedule is 8am-5pm Monday - Friday in the office.

Key Responsibilities:

Plan, coordinate, and monitor logistics operations such as warehousing, transportation, and inventory management.
Collaborate with suppliers, vendors, and freight carriers to optimize delivery schedules, payments and reduce costs.
Track shipments and provide real-time updates to internal and external stakeholders.
Maintain accurate records of logistics activities, including shipping documentation and inventory reports.
Identify and resolve any issues related to transportation, delays, or damaged goods.
Ensure compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and company policies regarding transportation and logistics.
Manage monthly orders to multiple retail locations in partnership with our 3PL provider
Analyze logistics data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
Work closely with other departments to align logistics processes with business objectives.
Help with Downeast general office business, including assistance in accounts payable tasks.
Utilize logistics software and systems to manage and streamline operations.

Qualifications & Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field (preferred) or equivalent experience.
Proven experience in logistics, supply chain, or transportation management.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
Proficiency in logistics software and Microsoft Office Suite.
Strong communication and negotiation skills.
Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
Knowledge of international shipping regulations (preferred).
